Cancer Toll Rises:72,000 Deaths Annually In Nigeria.

Cancer has indeed taken a great toll in Nigeria recently,which has been estimated to 72,000 deaths Annually in the country.

A recent report conducted,which holds that out of  102,000 diagnosis annually,some 72,000,dies as confirmed by Abdulmumini Rafindadi,Former Dean of the federal university of this African country.50percent of the deaths is however attributed to breast and cervical cancer.

Abdulmumini, further attributed the causes to have been excessive smoking,excessive intake of Alcohol,among other causes.

However,He also attributed some cases to late diagnosis,where people reach out to the hospital when they are 80percent affected.and also an inadequate basic equipments in the hospitals specialized in treating such a deadly disease.
