Internet Fraudster Bags 35 Years Jail Term.

22 year old Ajayi Temitope Charles,was on Tuesday,June 25 2019,convicted and sentenced to a 35 years jail term for internet fraud,by the kwara State High Court sitting in ilorin.

Temitope was first arraigned by the EFCC,on March 13,2019 for internet fraud.He pleaded “not guilty”to the charges prompting the commencement of his trial.

The Trial Judge, Justice M Abdulgafar,at the end of his trial ruled out that the EFCC proved its case against him “beyond reasonable doubt”, also adding that the evidence of PW1,Olamide Sadiq,was left unchallenged by the defendant,all the chats and text messages were printed from his email address in his presence.

However,Justice Abdulgafar,pronounced him guilty as charged and sentenced him to seven years in prison on each of the five counts.the sentence is to run concurrently.
